Russia's Communist Party set to blacklist musicians calling to stop war in Ukraine


Valeriy Rashkin and Sergei Obukhov, members of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation (CPRF), have addressed to directors of the most popular Russian TV and radio stations asking not to air musicians who support the Ukrainian authorities and share their views.

The communists came up with the idea of making a special blacklist on which prominent Russian rock singer Andrey Makarevich who condemned Putin‘s policy and musician band Noize MC that went on tour to Western Ukraine are expected to be.

Other names are not disclosed but it is highly likely that Ivan Dorn who took on the stage of the festival ‘Novaya Volna’ wearing a sweatshirt with a Ukrainian emblem or Zemfira who voiced support to Ukrainians at her concert will be on the list.

Nevertheless, Russian MPs failed to endorse the initiative of the communists.
