Russian PM Medvedev long for 'unsanctioned' Belarusian Parmesan, jamon, oysters

Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev thanked Belarus for organizing the session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council and congratulated Kyrgyzstan on joining the Eurasian Economic Union.

The meeting took place on Tuesday in the Belarusian city of Hrodna. Prime Ministers of Belarus, Armenia, Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan were participating in the meeting.

“I wish to thank the Belarusian side for good working conditions, good impressions and tasty products that are not on the sanctions list. You filled us with tasty food,” Dmitry Medvedev told his Belarusian counterpart Andrey Kabyakou, interfax.by reports.

“We are glad that you enjoyed it,” Kabyakou answered.

According to the Belarusian Kobyakov prime Minister, holding the session in Hrodna was a ‘good decision’. “We have five regional centers, and believe me, you will feel comfortable in every town of Belarus,” he said.

In his turn, Dmitry Medvedev said: “Today I have been asked when Belarusian Parmesan, Belarusian jamon and Belarusian oysters will be served. Perhaps, we could have a taste of them somewhere else, once you have five regions?!”

Finally, the Belarusian Prime Minister promised to treat Medvedev to Belarusian oysters in Brest, and to Belarusian Parmesan – in Homiel region.
