Russian military detained for spying for Ukraine in Crimea - FSB


The Federal Security Service detained two Russian citizens in Simferopol on suspicion of spying for Ukraine.

One of them is a serviceman, the FSB website says.

“In Simferopol, citizens of Russian Anna Sukhonosova and Dmitry Dolgopolov have been detained. The latter is doing his military service in the Republic of Crimea,” the statement reads.

According to the Russian security service, the arrestees’ collected secret information on the activities of the Black Sea Fleet units and gave it to Ukraine.

“A criminal case under Article 275 of the Russian Criminal Code (treason) has been opened. The investigation is underway,” the FSB added.
