There is now information on the verdict passed in the case of the Russian Instagram-model detained with marijuana on the Belarusian-Polish border.
According to the press service of the Brest Regional Court, she was sentenced to 3 years in prison without confiscation of property.
Maria Khrestina was detained in May at the border checkpoint “Warsaw Bridge”. According to investigators, she acquired drugs on the territory of the European Union and tried to transport them to Belarus.
The girl was carrying souvenirs from the trip, but in one of them (a jar with leaves and seeds for decoration) was 1.14 grams of marijuana. The container says that the contents are not intended for use. Such jars are sold freely in Prague.
