Russia loses 270K criminal case files


Russian Prosecutor General’s Office conducted a large-scale document inspection. They also lost about a thousand murder case files.

Law enforcers have lost 98,000 files of unsolved criminal cases, Rossiyskaya Gazeta reports. Every fifth lost case file is about heavy and especially grave crimes, including about a thousand murder case files.

“Now the whole country does not know the whereabouts of 270,000 criminal case files,” said Deputy Prosecutor General Alexander Buksman.
