Russia and Belarus to decide on single oil and gas market by end of the year

Russia and Belarus are harmonizing the joint strategy for the creation of the single oil and gas market until 2025.

The issue of oil supplies to Belarusian refineries (24 mln tons per year) has been settled for the next three years. The gas issue still remains open, but Russian deputy prime minister Arkady Dvorkovich hopes it will be tackled soon.

“We have reached the agreements [over the supplies] for 2017- 2019. Now we are facing the task to agree and approve the principles for future cooperation for the period up to 2025. The consultations are in progress. We will fix everything,” Dvorkovich said.

According to Belarusian prime minister Andrey Kabyakou, the price for gas from 2025 should be formed in Russian rubles.
