This year a pharmaceutical factory was built in Beshankovichy which will attract investments from Lithuanian, Belarusian and Indian businessmen, as well as Abramovich.
The Russian billionaire is returning to Belarus after a 11-year break: Ej.by recalls that after 2005, when he sold “Sibneft” to “Gazprom” along with a share of the Mazyr Oil Refinery, he came to our country only as a private person.
By the end of this year, a Natyvita plant will be built in Beshankovichy, which will produce 12 medicines patented in Belarus. In total, the product line will have 32 items.
The project with an estimated investment of $15 million, was launched in late 2014. Factory has been mastering the production of drugs for the treatment of cancer, autoimmune and severe infectious diseases.
The technology for the new production with a share of this business is provided by the Indian company “Natco Pharma”, majority-owned by the Nanapeni family, and the drug development comes from a Russian company “Biokad”.
Another participant of the project – the Lithuanian company “Avia Solutions Group,” specializing in aircraft maintenance and management of airports in the Baltics and the CIS. Investments in pharmaceuticals is its non-core activity.
The Belarusian side in the project is represented by Alyaksei Sychou, owner of a large distributor of drugs VitVar.
