Right hand to Lukashenka’s arrested bagman Chyzh stands trial in Minsk

Uladzimir Yapryntsau, a partner of Lukashenka’s former crony Yury Chyzh, is being tried for trial for large scale fraud committed by an organized group.

His son Kazbek Yapryntsau and former employee of Triple group of companies Alyaksandr Arabyan are also put in the dock.

The arrest of millionaire Yapryntsau was reported about in August, 2015. The businessman was detained during the celebration of his 54th birthday.

Interestingly, after the arrest of seeming powerful tycoon Yury Chyzh, it became known that his Russian partners and himcomplained to Belarusian law enforcement authorities about Uladzimir Yapryntsau. A conflict between the businessmen is said to have been ccurred before.

Yapryntsau was born in Ashgabat in 1961. He is a professional sambist. In 2013, he was ranked 19th on the list of the most influential and successful Belarusian businessmen. Yapryntsau called himself ‘Russian who loves Belarus’.
