Red Church in Minsk to stop bell ringing

Minsk city executive committee has banned the Red Church in Minsk from ringing the electric bells installed on donations of the faithful.

This is what priest Uladzislau Zavalniuk said during the Holy Mass on September 24.

“They say that it interferes with the locals’ daily life. But many churches in Minsk have bells, and they are allowed to ring. And our church with more than 100-year-old history is banned,” he said, Krynica.info reports.

It should be noted that there are very few residential buildings in the Red Church area, most of the buildings in the district are administrative.
