The 30-year-old Minsk citizen is being accused of particularly malicious hooliganism. The Investigative Committee has completed the criminal investigation.
According to the investigation, the evening of June 19 the injured teenager was walking along the edge of bike trails along the Prнtytskava street. The accused was cycling towards him. As a result of collision with the teenager, he fell to the asphalt. He then stood up, took a baseball bat out of his backpack, approached the victim and struck him once on the head. He then got on his bike and left, without providing first aid to the victim.
During the interrogation, the man said that he had been given the bat as a present. That night he decided to pick it up from work and take it home. After the conflict on the bike path, he sawed it and threw it away.
Forensic medical examination has determined that as a result of the attack with the help of the bat, the teenager received less serious injuries. The case file was handed over to the prosecutor. Later, the documents will be sent to court. The defendant remains in custody.
