The recent report of Russian opposition leader Boris Nemtsov provides information about 220 Russian soldiers killed in action in Donbas. The report ‘Putin. War’ also states that it is the Russian law enforcement agencies that recruit volunteer fighters and deploy them to the conflict zone in Ukraine.

According to the latest data provided by Ukraine’s ATO command centre, about 9,000 Russian servicemen are present in Donbas at the moment.
