Prices for fuel soar


Belnaftahim Concern has announced this year’s fourth fuel price hike.

From October, 1 on the price for AI-92-K5-Euro petrol, an indicative fuel grade, is to be set as equivalent to 1 US dollar per 1 litre. Thus, retail prices for fuel and diesel fuel sold at fuel filling stations, have grown by some 5%.

.It is to be recalled that since September 9, 2014 petrol prices have been pegged to the dollar.

This measure will give a chance to “combine state and market price regulation and bring Belarus’s fuel pricing mechanism to the world’s practice,” Belnaftakhim reported.

Normal-80 unleaded petrol and AI-80-K3 (AI-80-K4, AI-80-K5) unleaded petrol cost 9,550 Belarusian rubels per litre (+4.4%); AI-92-K3 petrol will cost Br 10,350; AI-92-K5 and AI-92-K5-Euro – Br 10,600 ; AI-95-K5 and AI-95-K5-Euro –  Br 11,400 (+5.1%); diesel fuel DT-L-K4 grade C and diesel fuel DT-3-K5 grade F – Br 11,500 (+5%); diesel fuel DT-3-K5 class 2 – Br13,200.

It is the fourth time that fuel prices have been increased this year. Since the beginning of the year the price for Normal-80 unleaded petrol have been hiked by 20.9%, AI-92-K5-Euro – 20.5%, AI-96 – 20%, diesel fuel – 19.8%.
