On Monday Ukraine’s President Petro Poroshenko held a phone conversation in Normandy format – with Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel, President of France Francois Hollande and President of Russia Vladimir Putin.
“During the conversation the Heads of State have agreed to hold the next meetings of the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk on Wednesday and Friday (December 24 and 26),” Petro Poroshenko posted on Twitter.
Meanwhile, the tenth ‘humanitarian convoy’ has entered Ukraine from Russia’s Rostov region. There were 16 petrol tankers, observers said. On Bakhmutsky highway heavy military vehicles, including tanks, are seen. Pro-Russian separatists have not stopped pounding Ukrainians’ positions.
