Polish Embassy in Belarus is worried about the Internet visa scams. The first steps of the Polish diplomats in the fight against them bore fruit.
The other day, the diplomatic mission in Poland announced that it has nothing to do with the site e-konsulat.by, which visually imitates the official visa application registration page e-konsulat.gov.pl. The consulate added that it does not bear any responsibility for the consequences of data registration on this dubious site.
Journalists of TUT.by contacted the creators of the page e-konsulat.by, who said that they had registered that domain name on purpose, but the number of clients they have is small, and no one has complained so far.
Also the false consuls said that they intended to delete the page in two weeks. But the plans of the entrepreneurs changed or were destroyed by the Belarusian authorities.
Apparently, the Belarusian Foreign Ministry that was also informed by the Polish diplomats of the situation with a fake site, intervened. On the evening of November 3, the webpage was no longer available.
