Politologist Suzdaltsau: Lukashenka meekly agreed to Russian conditions

Russian political scientist believes that the Belarusian head returned from the meeting with Vladimir Putin with “empty pockets”.

“Lukashenka asked for 10 days to find the money to return of the debt. He has no money. But will he pay? Last year, he promised to pay three times but was told that Russia would collapse and told to wait for the debt to be written off,” expert comented on the recent meeting.

According to the analyst, the milk and cheese war with Russia ended for Belarus in self-punishment.

The essence of the agreement reached on April 3 in St. Petersburg

Belarus will pay $ 700 million debt for gas that has accumulated. Russia, in turn, will resume the supply of oil to our country up to 24 million tons per year. It will also give a discount on natural gas until the end of 2019.

Recall that the parties declared the agreement had been reached already six months ago.
