Over the last three days, the delegation of the Polish Parliamentary Group had meetings in several cities of Belarus. In addition to negotiations with the MPs from the House of Representatives and the opposition, Polish MPs visited the regions where they met with representatives of the Polish minority and with the local authorities.
On the last day of their visit, the Polish deputies laid wreaths and lit candles at the execution site of the Stalin repressions’s victims in Kurapaty, the burial place of Belarusians and Poles.
Polish politicians later talked with reporters, discussing politics and the issue of “Belsat”.
MP Adam Andruszkewicz said that during his visit they discussed the situation with the first independent Belarusian language channel.
“On the Polish side, nothing has changed, there is a channel and it enjoys big support of the Polish government,” he said.
