Polish man detained after accidentally paragliding into Belarus

Belarusian border guards have detained a citizen of Poland, who had illegally crossed the air border.

On June 11th, at a height of about one kilometer, Brest border guards spotted a paraglider who flew into Belarus from Poland.

Once the glider landed, the pilot was detained. The aircraft flew into Belarus by only 600 meters.

The pilot, born in 1975, said he had lost a reference point and thought that he landed near the Polish town of Biala Podlaska.

The press service of the border committee reports that the amateur athletes is facing a large fine, deportation and a ban on entry to our country.
