Poland’s Defense Ministry: We are ready to sell weapons to Ukraine

Poland is ready to sell home-made weapons to Ukraine if they are in demand, Defense Minister Tomasz Siemoniak said on Monday.

The Minister was asked to comment on Prime Minister Ewa Kopacz’s recent words about arms shipments to Ukraine. Last week the head of the Polish Cabinet said that “Poland should behave as a sober woman” in relations with Ukraine and Russia, which was interpreted as a departure from the previous position on the Ukrainian conflict.

“I confirm that the country’s defense industry has its interest in this field,” RadioZet quotes Tomasz Siemoniak as saying.

According to him, there are ‘some products’ that can be of interest to Ukraine. “If one wants and is ready to purchase any components of weapons in Poland, Polish armament producers dream of exporting arms to any country,” the Minister admitted.
