PM Kabyakou: We will develop small and medium businesses

The Prime Minister said that the Belarusian economy needs to grow in sectors “which have not yet been considered traditional”.

“First of all, it is the development of small and medium businesses. It is expected that the share of small and medium-sized businesses in the GDP will get a significant increase and exceed 32%. In this regard, we have prioritized our work. The first priority is the investment. Then goes employment,” he said in a TV interview.

According to Kabyakou, the State has fully fulfilled its social obligations to the citizens.

“I think that our citizens have no doubt about it. Even though people say that salaries dropped in dollar terms, it may really be so. But, nevertheless, real income growth, real wage growth has been assured. Real income grew by 32% compared to 2010. Wage growth, real wages adjusted for inflation was 41.5%. There are objective laws of economics, which are impossible to cheat. But there are also real results. I believe that they are positive”.
