Bailiffs seized home appliances from 69-year-old activist Nina Bahinskaya.

Bailiffs seiazed her microwave and washing machine through penalties for actions and arrested her land pieces in the country side, “Belarusian Documentation Centre” reports.

“I already have to pay over 40 millions in fines for participating in actions, I don’t go to the hearings – I do not see any reason, why waste time? The first time the bailiffs came was in my absence. My son was at home. They conducted an inventory of the property. I wrote a statement to the court that I do not agree, because this is not my property, but that of my children. In response I received the usual runaround, in their opinion – all was legal. A week later they came to seize things: two men in plain clothes and two in the form of bailiffs. I would not let them inside the apartment and called the police. Bailiffs filmed everything on camera. Police patrol arrived, I told them that I was getting robbed. On what basis do these people want to take things that do not even belong to me? The government persecuted me, so let them takee money from my pension! What do my children and grandchildren have to do with it?”.

On May 20 court officers took away from her apartment a washing machine and a microwave.

“But how can that be? It belonged to my children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren. Now my granddaughter washes clothes for my seven-month grandson with her hands. What are they to blame for? Later I received a letter stating that my countryside land were arrested – in Damashany and Maryina Horka. I am preparing a protest to the Prosecutor’s Offie,” said Bahinskaya.

This year, the activist received another subpoena – for participation in the action “National Flag Avenue” she will be tried for “violation of the order of organization or holding mass events” and “disobeying a lawful order or request of an official in the exercise of official authority.”
