Match “Pramen — Ashmyany”
According to the Investigative Committee, investigation of match-fixing in underway.
The list of suspects includes 18 people: 2 former players, one of whom was the coach, 14 players of “Islach”, “Ashmiany” and “Pramen”, former coach of FC “Islach” and a citizen of Ukraine.
The Ukrainian citizen transfered money, including through intermediaries, to the First League players that were supposed to provide the desired result. The next step was to bid large amounts of money in foreign betting offices on the fixed match in order to win.
Law enforcers seemed doubtful of the three current matches of the first league “Baranavichy” – “Ashmiany”, “Pramen” – “Homielchyhunka trans”, “Pramen” – “Ashmiany”), as well as one match of the Major League ( “Islach” – “Dynama Brest” ).
Preliminary investigation of the case has been extended until December 2016.
Some players turned themselves in to the police, so they can apply for the termination of criminal proceedings against them under Art. 30 of the Criminal Code.
