Notorious head of Chechen republic abandons iPhone, calls to leave U.S. social media
Ramzan Kadyrov has withdrawn from using iPhone in favour of the Russian-made smartphone.
“I wrote earlier that I had an intention to desist from the use of iPhone. All this time I have been fitfully learning how to use YotaPhone [Russian smartphone – Belsat.eu]. Today my friend Timothy – Timur Yunusov – has arrived. I have made him [such] a gift. Now we both use only our domestic YotaPhone,” Ramzan Kadyrov said on Instagram.
It is TV presenter Tina Kandelaki who presented YotaPhone to Kadyrov some months ago.
Then Kadyrov urged the Russians to abandon the foreign social networks and shift to products ‘made in Russia’.
“All Russia is staying in U.S. social networks, which leads to the growth of their value. Our Vkontakte [Russian social network vk.com] is just as good. Let’s gradually move to it ,” Kadyrov called.
