No info on Belarusian victims in Nice -- Foreign Ministry


“At the moment there is no information about the Belarusians being among victims of the Nice attack,” reported in Twitter the Belarusian Foreign Ministry. Embassy of Belarus in France continues to monitor the situation.

The tragedy took place in Nice on July 14th during the celebration of Bastille Day. An attacker drove the truck at high speed onto the sidewalk and continued to move through the crowd for two kilometers. He was then killed by police. There are currently 84 people reported dead, and 18 people are in intensive care in serious condition.

“It is undeniable that the attack in Nice has to do with terrorism,” said the President of France Francois Hollande in a special televised address, which he delivered on Friday night.

There is information that a Russian person was killed in Nice, and one woman from Russia was injured. There is information about a deceased citizen of Ukraine.
