Belarusians NAVI made it to Eurovision-2017 final


 

The Belarusian band took the 2nd place in the second semifinal of the competition.

A total of 18 artists performed in the second semi-final. Along with Belarus, in the final are Bulgaria, Croatia, Hungary, Denmark, Israel, Romania, Norway, the Netherlands, and Austria.

According to the competition rules, voting was available only for representatives of other countries. Voting results were announced on the night after the final.

According to bookmakers, the Naviband had a chance to reach the final – but they promised the victory to the Italian singer Francesco Gabbani.

For the first time in the history of the “Eurovision” competition, contestants from Belarus Artsyom Lukyanenka and Kseniya Zhuk sang in their native language the song called “Story of my Life”. Earlier, the Belarusian language was only used at the “Junior Eurovision”.

This year, the International Song Contest Eurovision-2017 is held in Kyiv. The winner will be known on 13 May.
