The Ukrainian MP believes that the Ukraine political system can be changed only from the top and does not rule out the transition to the dictatorship. She stated this in an interview with Deutsche Welle.
“To change the powers of the president, the country’s structure, relaunch laws for the sake of the people, to fight corruption — you need to become a dictator who holds everything in his hands. In order to return the power to the people and to make sure that the power will never be taken from the people again,” said Savchenko.
When asked about the presidential ambitions, Nadiya Savchenko said that she considers this development a necessity. “I said that I do not want to, but I also said that I could. And now I’d probably answer that, most likely, I have to do it,” she said.
