Ukrainian pilot Nadezhda Savchenko who is being illegally held in Russia, wrote to the Nobel laureate. The photo appeared in the Facebook of the POW’s lawyer Mark Feigin.

It is not the first time the Women exchanged letters. In early December, Svetlana Alexievich sent to the captive pilot her book and letter, calling her a Ukrainian Joan of Arc. In November, Nadezhda Savchenko sent to Belarusian writer her book “The strong name of Nadezhda.”
Savchenko is accused of murdering Russian journalists and illegal border crossing. According to Savchenko and her lawyers, she was abducted by force and transported to Russia. She faces up to 25 years in prison.
