Belarus seeks full normalization of relations with EU, but on principles of equality - MFA

The EU-Belarus relations should be built on the principles of equality and partnership, Dzmitry Mironchyk, Spokesman for the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said on October 27 when making a comment on Wednesday’s European parliament session on the situation in Belarus.

“We think it is important that the session heard not only traditional critical comments and remarks, but also some positive opinions about the developments in the social and political life in Belarus and the progress in the relations between Belarus and the European Union,” state-run news agency BelTA quotes Mr Mironchyk as saying.

The spokesman hopes that the European Parliament’s resolution on Belarus to be issued in November 2016 will be balanced and will take into account the country’s approaches to full normalization of the relations with the European Union and development of a good neighborly dialogue.
