Man with ax breaks into store, demands alcohol and cigarettes

A pensioner has broken into store in Lahoisk district

The details of the crime were reported today in the police department of the Minsk Oblast Executive Committee.

Several days ago, a 61-year-old man came into a rural store with an ax. He demanded that the seller gave him alcohol, food and cigarettes. However, the woman did not comply with its requirements. Instead she ran out of the store and called the police.

After a while, the police detained the pensioner. He never took anything from the store. A criminal case for robbery (part 1 of article 207 of the Criminal Code of Belarus) has been launched. Pensioner faces up to 10 years in prison.
