Alexander Surikov, Russia’s ambassador to Belarus, has extended thanks to president Alyaksandr Lukashenka for his decision to go to Russia as the visit after the presidential election.
“We are grateful for this decision,” Surikov said in an interview with the STV channel.
The forthcoming visit will focus on the strengthening and development of the Union State, expansion of the trade and economic cooperation, hydrocarbon prices, the diplomat believes.
In his opinion, unified approaches on the latter can be worked out till 2024. “We have begun this movement from the prices for oil and gas,” Surikov said.
