On Monday evening, Minsk traffic police tried to stop a drunk driver in Lermontov street in an unusual way.
One of the traffic cops threw himself on the car door; the offender drove him at full speed within some minutes. The officer was injured, but his life is not in danger, onliner.by reports.
The man driving a Mercedes behaved aggressively when asked to show his documents. He was apparently drunk and tried to leave the scene. Inspector jumped on the car step and tried to stop him and get a key. But the car was gaining speed. As a result of a sharp turn, the traffic policeman fell onto the road.
A few minutes later, the driver was arrested. His blood alcohol level was about 2.7 per mil; 9 administrative protocols was drawn upon him.
Moreover, a criminal case under art.363 of the Criminal Code (showing resistance to police) was initiated.
