Minsk chainsaw attacker Kazakevich sentenced to 15 years in prison

The 18-year-old chainsaw attacker Ulad Kazakevich has been sentenced to the maximum possible prison term for the minor. He received 15 years in prison. He will serve the term in a penal colony, despite the fact that his parents insisted on the treatment for their son.

Judge Piotr Arlou handed down the verdict in the resonant case of the attack on the “Europa” mall. The day before, during the judicial debate, the prosecutor said that the blame of the 18-year-old Ulad Kazakevich was completely proven.

In his last word, Kazakevich said he was only sorry that he had not killed more people.

In 2014 Kazakevich was diagnosed with “schizoid personality disorder” and “moderate depression”. He tried several times to commit suicide.
