Another person killed at Belarusian NPP construction site

Another man has been killed at the construction site of the Astravets NPP. This was written by social activist Mikalai Ulasevich – one of the initiators of the campaign anti-nuclear program ‘Astravets NPP is a crime!’ – on his Facebook page and later confirmed by the authorities.

The incident occurred at 17:00 on August 26. An oxygen tank fell on the man and then it exploded. As a result, the man whose name is unknown, was killed. “This is the ninth or tenth a human victim of the NPP construction,” said Mikalai Ulasevich.

According to him, another news is alarming. “Allegedly, the Russians have refused to replace the damaged reactor vessel contrary to the requirements of the Belarusian side. The decision came after they conducted a survey of the vessel. People, pay attention,” said the representative of the United Civil Party.

Mikalai Ulasevich was the first to report on the fall of the reactor vessel at the Belarusian nuclear power plant. The Ministry of Energy later confirmed this information.

Mikalai Ulasevich is running as a parliamentary candidate from the United Civil Party in Smarhon District #59. The district newspaper “Astravetskaya Prauda” has refused to publish the program of the opposition activist.
