Men constitute over 70% of unemployed in Minsk

Employment and Social Protection of Minsk City Executive Committee, men constitute 71% of the total number of unemployed in Minsk, agency minsknews.by learned.

As of October 1, Minsk vocational service had 34% of registered unemployed citizens with secondary and basic education. 30% had vocational training, 11% had secondary professional education, and 25% had higher education. More than half of the unemployed have previously had working jobs. Almost one in four had a break in employment of more than 1 year. The average age of the unemployed in the capital is 41.5 years old.

The number of officially registered unemployed in Minsk is 3,159 persons.
