Man gets two years in prison for nudity and violence during parade rehearsal

The 33 year-old Pavel Trukhanau was found guilty of hooliganism and violence against a police officer.

The sentence was passed on Friday, September 1 in Minsk.

A Minsk resident was sentenced to one and a half years in prison for violence against law enforcement officer and to two years in prison for hooliganism.

As a result, the less strict punishment was absorbed by the more severe one which resulted in Pavel Trukhanau getting two years imprisonment in a penal colony, press service of the Supreme Court of Belarus reports.

On June 24, near Victory Park in Minsk, an unidentified man took off his pants in front of a column of military machines. He had been standing like that for thirty seconds, until he was noticed by a police officer. When the policeman approached him, the man punched him and fled. The hooligan was quickly detained.
