Mahiliou travel agency wants to bring football players from Africa 'for sale'

The transportation and tourism company ‘T-34’ plans to establish a new business: they want to import football players from Africa.

This week, people linked with Belarusian football (as far as we know, such letters were sent to all clubs of the higher league) received letters from the Mahiliou tourist company with the proposal to take part in a friendly football match with the league team of an African country, and “after the game players from the African country will be put up for sale,” the letter said.

We contacted the representative of the travel agency Uladzimir Pashkevich, who confirmed this information. According to Pashkevich, everything is coordinated with the Mahiliou sports committee, although under the Belarusian legislation such activities are illegal without registration with the Belarusian Football Federation.

“We will bring a team from the highest league of the African country to Mahiliou, which we cannot name yet, but believe me, this is a good team, they will play a friendly match here, and the players who will be liked by our customers can be sold,” said Uladzimir Pashkevich.

“The person engaged in tourism decided to earn extra money. In the case of transfers, the Belarusian football regulations prohibit payments between individuals. Only between clubs. There is no third option, said well-known Belarusian football agent Valer Isayeu. – Clubs put players up for transfer. And everyone understands that it is necessary to negotiate a price, but only clubs can do it.”
