Men in camouflage uniforms broke into the Sakharov Center, which hosted the photo exhibition of the Belarusian photographer Alyaksandr Vasyukovich.

Members of the organization “Volunteer Union of Donbas” broke exhibits and wanted to talk to the director.

According to the ‘Lifenews’, among the participants of the attack on the exhibition was also the local MP Dmitry Zakharov with a can of red paint with inscription “The Blood of Donbas Children Killed by Ukrainian Army”.

Later law enforcement officers arrived at the Sakharov Center.

“I will not file a statement with police, until there is a threat,” said the director of the center in a comment for “TASS” Sergei Lukashevski.

On September 28, several pictures at the exhibition of photographers Alyaksandr Vasyukovich and Syarhei Loika were covered with paint. Photos were spoiled by the artist Anton Belikov, who is engaged in church painting. On his “VKontakte” page Belikov, who retired from the scene, wrote that he was ready to come to the police if there is a statement filed against him.

In the summer of 2014, photographer Alyaksandr Vasyukovich visited the front in the east of Ukraine and spent two weeks with the ‘Donbas’ batallion. His photographs presented at the exhibition in Moscow depict Ukrainians from different regions of the country voluntarily quitting their jobs and going to war.
