Lukashenka to Belarus officials: We have no time to spare for rest

Key positions should not be offered to executives and civil servants, who demonstrate unsatisfactory performance doing their previous jobs, Belarusian president Alyaksandr Lukashenka said on Monday.

“If you are not up to the task, you are better off doing the job you’ve been trained to do. The rule must apply to everyone. We have to make up our minds once and for all in this regard,” he said.

At the same time good executives should be granted serious support, particularly heads of district administrations.

“Let me warn you that, unfortunately, we have no time to spare for rest and recreation. You are still going to stay on the frontline of working with people face to face,” Lukashenka stressed.
