Lukashenka's incredible plan for next 20 years

The IT state, AI, internet of things, cryptocurrencies — the future of Belarus looks brilliant up to 2040. Besides, Alyaksandr Lukashenka has once again raised the topic of nuclear power plants and proposed to use it together with the Lithuanians.

“There are hundreds of such units in the world, we will construct two. I have already offered to the neighbors to think together how to use it,” said Lukashenka with the hope to sell energy.

The nuclear power plant is scheduled to become operational within 2 years.

According to preliminary estimates, the project will cost at least $ 11 billion, but the financial viability of the plant was not mentioned.

On the eve of the meeting on development of the IT sector, Lukashenka announced the signing of a new relevant decree. According to expert estimates, the measures set out in the decree will allow in the next 10 years to increase annual exports of software products to $ 4.7 billion.

“Today, the IT sector accounts for less than 5% of GDP. If the figure increases by several times by 2030, it will not replace the traditional sectors of the economy,” economic commentator Stanislau Ivashkevich told Belsat.

The conditions in which the people engaged in fundamental scientific developments work were not even mentioned during the meeting. But the ‘Radio Freedom’ journalists estimated that the supercomputer of Belarusian scientists has the same power as five Playstation consoles. Among other achievements, the Academy of Sciences began to produce wine for 3,18 BYN.

At the end of the Science Year, the President allocated 100 scholarships to young scientists. Each of them will receive a monthly sum of 400 BYN.
