Lukashenka to Kabyakou: the whole range of goods must be there

The President believes that it is necessary to listen to the views and take into account the interests of all stakeholders: employers, consumers and the state.

The President met with entrepreneurs in the metropolitan shopping center Expobel.

After listening to entrepreneurs, Alyaksandr Lukashenka asked Prime Minister Andrei Kabyakou, if it is possible to have a range of products at wholesale bases of Belarus that would be no worse than those in Moscow markets. Kabyakou said that this is possible, but there are certain difficulties.

“You do that. And if they (entrepreneurs) say that there are no flip-flops or sneakers, you will answer for this,” said Lukashenka.

He expressed concern over the fact that the light industry has “virtually vanished” due to the fact that its products are less competitive compared to the products brought by the entrepreneurs from abroad.

However, the head of state noted the difficulties of the businessmen, who are not provided Customs Union certificates by the Russian vendors.

“Entrepreneurs say that our partners in the Eurasian Economic Union do not require their individual entrepreneurs follow similar rules and thus put the Belarusians in unequal conditions,” said Lukashenka.

The Head of State believes that all opinions should be heard and taken into account.
