During the meeting they discussed the development of relations between the Belarusian government and the Roman Catholic Church. Pope gave Alyaksandr Lukashenka three papers on the Gospel, the protection of nature and family that he had written, as well as artistic image of the olive tree.
Lukashenka was on a two-day visit to Italy. On Friday he met with Italian President Sergio Matarella.
