Lukashenka allows foreigners to enter Belarus without visa

Citizens of other countries can stay without a visa in a special tourist and recreational park “Auhustouski Canal” and the surrounding areas for up to five days. The relevant decree was issued by the head of Belarus.

This procedure is provided for foreigners crossing the border from Poland through checkpoints Lyasnaya and Bruzgi, from Lithuania – through checkpoints Privalka and Raigardas.

It is expected that innovation will contribute to an increase in tourist flow, give work to the local population, attract investment in the development of park infrastructure.

The decree is valid until December 31, 2017 “with the possibility of extension for an indefinite period.”
