Lukashenka and son treat Russian PM to birch juice in native village


On May 12, Alyaksandr Lukashenka held an informal meeting with Russia’s Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev in in Aleksandryia, the native village of the Belarusian leader. During the three-hour meeting Lukashenka and Medvedev were discussing the most topical issues, i.e. bilateral relations, economic cooperation, regional problems, etc.

Alyaksandr Lukashenka and his younger son Kolya showed their homes ground to the Russian VIP guest. They also tasted natural birch juice and had their pictures taken, visited Lukashenka’s house and Trafim’s spring that was restored against the order of the Belarusian leader three years ago.

The informal meeting took place after official events in the Belarusian city of Mahiliou which hosted a meeting of the Union State Council of Ministers on Thursday.
