The Belarusian National Statistical Committee found in the country 1,707 unprofitable organizations — about a fifth of the total number of organizations.
The data relates to the first eight months of the year. For the same period last year, unprofitable were recognized 1,131 organizations. In the industry, the share of unprofitable enterprises was 35.5% (26% last year), in construction – 21.2% (8.8%), in healthcare and social services – 10.5% (6.3%) .
On the other hand, the number of unprofitable enterprises in the fishing industry decreased and amounted to 45% (70%).
