Story from Kaplichy disliked by the authorities
The Kalinkavichy district court has fined the Homiel journalist Andrei Tolchyn for cooperation with Belsat.
He was tried under Article 22.9 of the Administrative Code of Belarus (violation of mass media legislation). Judge Sviatlana Kuheika fined Andrei Tolchyn 40 basic units.
The administrative case against him and Kastus Zhukouski was launched for their video story about the Kaplichy agro-town in late January.
Kastus Zhukouski’s case was closed. The residents of Kaplichy were not able to identify the journalist, and the court failed to prove his guilt.
