‘Illegal armed formation elimination’: Belarus siloviki getting ready for European Games

On June 4-7, Belarusian siloviki are practising the elimination of a illegal armed formation during the maneuvers in Mahiliou region, the KGB press service reports.
The exercise is attended by the units of the KGB, Ministry of Interior, the State Border Committee, Armed Forces, Emergencies Ministry and other agencies.
The game is carried out as part of ‘safety and security arrangements’ in the run-up to the 2nd European Games which will take place in Minsk in June 21-30, 2019.
The European Games are held every 4 years. Ten of the sports will offer qualification opportunities for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Japan.
