A stick signed by Belarusian president Alyaksandr Lukashenka has been auctioned off and sold for $3,600.
The collected money is to be handed over to the charity organization ‘Angels’ Wings’ which helps disabled children and their parents engage in sports acivities.
$3,600 paid by the anonymous buyer is allocated for the training of a team of 35 people to participate in the Minsk semi-marathon that will take place in September, 2016.
The Belarusian leader gave the stick as a gift to tut.by journalist Yury Mikhalkevich who wrote the “Post-game analysis in its true colours. How Alyaksandr Lukashenka plays hockey.”
Later, securing Lukashenka’s consent, Mikhalkevich set the stick for the charity auction.
