Homiel activist detained for T-shirt ‘For Belarus Without Lukashenka’

Unknown plainclothed persons detained Uladzimir Nyapomnyashchykh, an activist of the United Civic Party, in the Belarusian city of Homiel on Friday. He was wearing a T-shirt with the inscription ‘For Belarus Without Lukashenka’.

The activist’s arrest might be accounted for president Alyaksandr Lukashenka’s current working visit to Homiel.

Vladimir Nyapomnyashchykh was taken to a police station, news agency BelaPAN reports with reference to Vasil Paluakou, deputy chairman of the United Civil Party.
