Vladimir Makovich, one of the founders of the unrecognised Donetsk People Republic (DPR), passed away in Donetsk.
Makovich died due to heart problems, head of the separatist agency News Konstantin Knyrik says.
“According to preliminary information, the cause of death is a heart attack,” he said.
In April 2014, Vladimir Makovich read out the declaration of the ‘state independence’ of the self-proclaimed republic. In July, he served as Speaker of the ‘Supreme Council’ of the DPR.
