'He has dived'. Yet again Putin finds ancient amphorae in Black Sea

Vladimir Putin used a bathyscaphe to look at the ships that went down off the coast of Crimea in the 11th century, and found some amphorae.

From under the water, he said on the radio that the visibility was good and there was a a lot of objects that might be interesting for researchers. “There are many items, amphorae are scattered [on the seafloor],” said Russian president.

It is the second time Vladimir Putin has dived in the Black Sea. In 2011, he put on a wet suit and dived off the coast in the south of Russia. From there, he took out two ancient amphorae. But later it turned out that the video published was fake, which gave cause for numerous jokes and altered images on the Internet.

This time, Putin has not taken the amphorae out, he only reported to the ship, where top Russian officials, including Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev and Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, were waiting for his emersion.
