Hackers put name of Lithuania president on KGB agents list


Hackers have published information that the President Dalia Grybauskaite worked in the State Security Committee, said the site administrator. The internet site contains information on the activities of the Soviet KGB.

The data of Dalia Grybauskaite and the nickname Magnolia were added to the list of KGB agents, interfax.by reports.

Director of the Center for Research of Genocide and Resistance of Lithuanian residents stated that this information “does not correspond to reality and misleads the public”.

“We were told about it by the journalist about 4 pm. Our programmers are solving the issue. Grybauskaite has been included in the list of agents that we publish,” she said to BNS.

Hackers also posted on the website kgbveikla.lt materials resembling archival documents related to Grybauskaite. There is a diploma of the Leningrad University similar to the sample of those years, the addition to the diploma, the alleged copy of the certificate of secondary education of Grybauskaite, and other documents.

According to the BNS agency, the description in the Lithuanian language states that “it is a photocopy of the personal file of Dalia Grybauskaite during her training in Leningrad”. The anonymous hacker claims to represent an unknown organization Fist.

The incident was reported a few hours after the Lithuanian authorities published reports on the threat posed by Russia.

BNS failed to get comments from representatives of the presidential administration.
